You need to do what the employer's instructions say to do.
Whatever format you are saving in from Works is not readable
by Microsoft Word. I'm not familiar with Works, as to whether it
has the capability to save using a Word format. If not, your only
options are to save as plain text (which loses all the formatting)
or else purchase a copy of Word. Something else you might
look into: http://why.openoffice.org

i have a copy of my resume on microsoft works documents on file and each
time that i am trying to send to an emplyer online i have that answer:
<Only Microsoft Word or Plain Text documents are supported.>
can you please tell me what should i do to solve this problem !

In Works, do a File, Save As and then in the "Save as type" dropdown box,
select Word 97-2003 doc. Don't use the Word 2.0 or Word 2007 options if you
have them available in your version of Works.
