How do you change the color background(entire) of microsoft word?

I have blue on the background except the text area

If I'm understanding you correctly, you want to go to your start button,
select settings, then Control Panel, Display, then the Appearance tab in
Display. This will give you options to select other colors for your color
scheme (background).

What version of Word are you using... and can you be more specific about
what color it is that you want to change?

If 2007 you can go to Office Button> Word Options> Popular & choose either
Silver or Black instead of Blue.
