I work in a office with 5 networked PCS, will all use Micosoft word,
but we can only write/save to 1 copy at a time, the other members have
to use read only copies, is there a way around this or another piece of
software that would allow at least 2 people to read & write to the same
copy at the same time.

Not easily because Word creates temp files during the editing process.
There are various approaches to such collaboration, which are better
addressed to the Word newsgroups.

They will want to know your Word and Windows versions.

Read/write the same copy?? Do you mean that you need to be able to write the
same Word document from two different persons at the same time? If yes, then
you can not do this with just Word by itself. You might need a Windows 2003
server with a collaborative document sharing system which would be able to
track the changes to the document.
