Microsoft word can not found on system

System crashed on Sat Deleted all files then loaded
Windows 98 SE then loaded upgrade XP Home Edition.
I think Word should have been installed an opened before
loading XP.
Do I need to now load Windows 98SE again? then XP?
Any advice will be appreciated.

Microsoft Word is not part of any operating system.
You need to load Microsoft Word using its own CD.
