Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Error

I have multiple users, and if I am logged onto one account and switch users I
am not able to access some programs, including IE, the Control Panel, etc. I
get an error that says "Microsoft Visual C++ Rutime Error - the program has
caused it to terminate in an unusual way." or something along those lines.
So I can't use IE under both users. Can anyone help with this?

Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library.
Runtime Error!
Program: c:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\IEXPLORE.EXE
The application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an
unusual way.
Please contact the application's support team for more information.
----
Try uninstalling the Google toolbar using Control Panel-Add/Remove.

Another option:
Malware Removal:

Another option:
Another user receiving runtime errors fixed it by disabling McAfee's
Anti-Phishing filter.

I also have experienced this problem and have scoured several sources for
answers. It appears that nobody has a workable answer, in my case and
several others.

Thanks for the suggestions, Alan, but they do not solve the problem. After
first seeing the runtime error on my new computer, I eventually restored to
factory settings and started over, carefully testing upon each software load
or other change. The error reared its ugly head again only after
"establishing" 3rd and 4th users by logging them in for the first time. With
2 active users, there was no problem, but after establishing the other two --
bang -- no multiple use of IE or Explorer. It's not the google tool, McAffee
spam blockers or anything else. Personally, my guess is that it is a bug in
IE or XP that has yet to be addressed.

If anyone can explain why this is happening or how to fix, I and several
others would be grateful. Until then, I'll just instruct all my users to use
the more stable Firefox browser.

I have this problem:

Program: C:\WINDOWS\explorer.exe

How do I fix it?

I'm having the same issue. I see it with IE and Outlook keeps crashing too. I
have a new machine from Dell, straight out the box with Office installed and
the latest from Microsoft Update. I have un-installed the Google toolbar
which was on the machine which was an old version but the problem hasn't done
away. Does anyone have any other experiences in how to fix this one?

TIA
Steve
