When I logo to the word programme, the system shown me the following:-
TheMacros in this project are disable.Pls refer to the online help or documentation of the host application to determine how to enable macros.

This has appeared in 2 of my computer system which do not have internext. We have called up HP for help. They suggested 1 way is to uninstall the office 2003 and then reinstall it again. I had tried doing it, yet the system still shown this message. Our computers are new bought.

Please advise how to resolve the problem.

Thank you.

You should be VERY rude to HP if that was the advice they gave.

Go to Tools > Macro > Security to set the macro security level. If security
is set to high and you open a template or document containing macros you
will get that message. Alternatively, remove the macros from your users'
documents and templates.

G'Day Ilyn,

As you know, this is a Security feature - it helps to protect you
from Macro Viruses.

There are 3 situations where a Macro may be found:

In a Document
==========
The ONLY way to allow Macros in a Document to run is to
set Macro Security to 'Medium' or 'Low'.
If set to 'Low', Macros will always run (not recommended).
If set to "Medium', you can choose whether or not to permit
Macros when you open the Document (A dialog box appears).
(If set to 'High', Macros in a document NEVER run).

In a Template
=========
Macros in a Template will be trusted (they will always run)
if YOU move the Template to the location for
the User Templates OR
the WorkGroup Templates.
You can find these locations in
Tools>Options>File Locations.
Be sure that YOU TRUST the Template before you place it
there.

In a Global Template
==============
A Global Template is usually provided by a third party
to run some AddOn product.
A Global Template is loaded when Word Starts (like
NORMAL.DOT).
The Global Template will operate correctly if it is in
the location for
Startup.
(Again, you can find this location in
Tools>Options>File Locations.)

As a start, go to Tools>Macro>Security..., and set it
to 'Medium'.

Please let us know if you need more help!
