I was running a regular update. Right in the middle, I got an error message
that it had ended would I like to send a report. EVERYTHING was hung!! I
couldn't even do ctrl>alt>del! So, I did a HARD re-boot. Now, the first thing
is that my drop-down menus are invisible, and I don't have a background
(wallpaper?) on my display. I don't know what else has happened, but can you
help me get these back?

Hi

You may like to check with the Windows Update News Group:

Have you tried a system restore to a point right before doing the update?
