Microsoft Tun Miniport Adapter #2

I am evaluating a VPN product and because of unexplained disconnection
problems I was advised to unistall the IPv6 feature in the Network Connection
properties; as this did not resolved the above mentioned problem, I
re-installed IPv6, but subsequently noticed an error in the Control
Panel>Hardware>Device Menager>Network Adapters, it has now listed "Microsoft
Tun Miniport Apadapter #2" with a big fat yellow Exclamation Mark. If I
uninstall the IPv6 the Miniport disapear and all is well.
1) Why this error.
2) What is the relation to the IPv6
3) Is the problem fixable, should I wish to keep IPv6 installed
4) Is IPv6 required at this time or in the near furure.

You need to uninstall the Advanced Networking pack - you may also need to
uninstall Peer-to-Peer networking service and IPv6 ICF - see:

Thank you Doug for your advice, unfortunately the Advanced Network Pack is
not in the Add/Remove Program in the Control Panel as I am running (I should
have said this in my initial posting) Xp Pro SP2 where it is part of the
release CD.
So what is your reccomandation now?
