Has anybody been happy with Microsoft routers?

I have only used products from Netgear and Linksys. Do
Microsoft routers have any special features that other
products don't?

Hi,

Microsoft Base Stations include very easy to install wizards and
instructions.
Their interface is also clean and easy to use for first-time installers.

Thanks! Do Microsoft routers have URL filtering to block
certain websites on the local area network?

Hi,

The 802.11g router the MN-700 has parental controls where you can domain
name, web address or key words.
Unfortunately the older 802.11b router the MN-500 doesn't.

Hi,
Yes that one the MN-700 includes the parental controls.
These wireless base stations works with any network adapters that have the
802.11b or the 802.11g certification.

From everything that I've seen here, it doesn't seem that
the Microsoft routers provide anything more than other
routers... in fact, I have a Linksys router (802.11b)
which gives me pretty much full control over everything
on the network. The only thing that I haven't figured out
how to do (or if I can do it...) is to give a static IP
to a specific MAC address. Other than that, I've got full
URL filtering, MAC internet filtering (i.e. I can adjust
when specific computers are allowed to go online), and
all kinds of other control. It was $20 cheaper than the
MN-500 to...
