Can one create a new database query using an excel database as the source of
the data? I tried this and Excel files comes up as a data source, but I get
a message that "The data source contain no visible tables." Can anyone help
me with this?

TIA.

hi,
the data in the source file must be a range name. that's
the "table" it can't find.
high light the source date in the source file then
to declare a range name, goto Insert>Name>define

Thanks...I didn't think of that!
