I recently downloaded a trial version of microsoft office 2003, i removed it
from my p/c, and now when I scan a photo, I can't email it from the scan, it
has always done so befor, anyone have suggestions on what to do??

A good starting point would be to post your question in
an MS Office newsgroup. This one focuses on Windows
issues.
 
Scan your photo with a pgm such as Irfanview, or any graphics
editing pgm or even Paint ...save the photo to disk. Edit it
with your favorite editing pgm and then right-click and Send to:
mail recipient. Do it every day. No problemo.
