Why do I keep getting the error (see subject) with my Outlook 2003?

I have completed all of the downloads/updates and still get it?

What error is logged to the Event Viewer?

Yes, that is the general error you see on the screen. There is a more
specific error code logged to your Event Viewer. Without that we can't help
you.

here is more info - enough?

AppName: outlook.exe AppVer: 11.0.5510.0 AppStamp:3f1380f0
ModName: dccmsp32.dll ModVer: 10.0.2000.929 ModStamp:39d4133c
fDebug: 0 Offset: 00005346

That looks like a DLL associated with WinFax Pro (dccmsp32). Are you
running WinFax Pro? If so disable the Outlook integration and see if
that helps. There may also be an update for your version of WinFax
that might work better for you. If not you will have to keep WinFax's
Outlook integration disabled.

I am using the latest greatest WinFax Pro for XP version 10.3. Symantec
shipped it to me for XP compatibliity.??

I'll look at symantec, to see if they have addressed this issue.

Thanks

Help

I'm getting the same type of error. Here is even viewer info. All updates have been done for outlook.
Faulting application outlook.exe, version 11.0.8217.0, stamp 480f95d9, faulting module unknown, version 0.0.0.0, stamp 00000000, debug? 0, fault address 0x00000101.

Hi aatechnician,

I, too, get the identical error each time Outlook is closed. Have you been able to resolve? Thanks!

Event log:
Faulting application outlook.exe, version 11.0.8217.0, stamp 480f95d9, faulting module unknown, version 0.0.0.0, stamp 00000000, debug? 0, fault address 0x00000101.

... followed by this Information entry:
Bucket 835009688, bucket table 1, faulting application outlook.exe, version 11.0.8217.0, stamp 480f95d9, faulting module unknown, version 0.0.0.0, stamp 00000000, debug? 0, fault address 0x00000101.

I have finally located the problem ... reviewed Outlook's Advanced Options for Add-In Manager and noticed "AVG Exchange Extension". After unchecking that item, Outlook now closes properly.

I suspect that Grisoft may have made a change to AVG some months ago. However, since I no longer need access to Exchange Server, that add-in is not necessary.

Thank you. With me it was the AVG Exchange Extension too. This has been going on for 6 months.
Thank you again.
