Yes, so I've read in the newsgroups about this. I updated mine when I went
to xp from '95 and newer version has lots more versatitlity .

Most likely. I haven't tried it but would be most surprised if it didn't work. Earler versions of office work.

Have a look at my website which is mostly about Word 6/95.

Actually, the product was called "Office for Windows 95," and it
consisted of Version 7.0 of Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint." It
was Office 98 that was designed for use on Apple computers.

This version is not supported on WinXP. Some people have reported
success using it, while others have reported problems. If possible,
you really should consider getting a newer version of Office.

Office 95 is considered obsolete as far as Windows XP is concerned.
Purchase a new version, such as Office XP "full version".

Um... if it works, who cares if it's "obsolete?"

Do you really need Smart Tags, XML, etc. for basic documents and spreadsheet
functions?

Their is no such thing as Office 95 for Windows. This is an Mac
product. Office 97/2000/XP can all be used on Windows XP.

Sure there is, and it works fine under XP. I run both Word 95 and
Excel 95 here.

Hi,

I have loaded Word 95 onto Windows 2000 sucessfully (similar to XP)
along with Office 97. Both generally work OK, although I find that
relaxing the file permissions on the Office folders makes it work
better. (ie give all users write access, rather than just admins)

Kris.
