MICROSOFT OFFICE 2000 E-MAIL DOESN'T COME IN AUTOMATICALLY

How do I get my e-mail to come in automatically. I found things posted on
the internet saying go to tools, e-mail accounts, view modify (next) etc., go
to properties. I can go to tools, options, but there are none of the other
things there. Also, my outgoing messages go to my out box and stay there
unitl I go send them. How do I get them to automatically go the first time
that I push send.

.
Tools> Options> Click on the Mail Delivery tab. Place a
check in "Send Messages immediately when connected." And
place a check in "Check for new message every..." (Set the
time).

That won't be enough in Outlook 2000. Connection type must also be set to
LAN in most instances.
