Microsoft .NET Framework 1.1 Service Pack 1

I Just looked to see what the new upgrades were for WinXp. I'm looking at
this monster file they want to download to my machine. I've tried Sp2 and
that was a total and complete failure.

What's this "Microsoft .NET Framework 1.1 Service Pack 1" like? Has anyone
downloaded it yet and were your results good? The problem with this is that
once you load it, its there and you can't unload it. At least I was able to
Unload Sp2 and everything was back to normal after I removed it!

So, that's for your opinions!

I don't know exactly what it is but some newer programs which are being
created use it. To be honest I have found 2 programs in the last year which
use it and they werent anything to shout about. I have heard it can cause
probs so haven't bothered with it and it hasn't been missed. Skip it for
now.
