Does anyone know how, on Xp, to reset Windows Media
Player as my default media player? I downloaded Winamp 3
and automaticlly set itself as my default media player.

Launch Windows Media Player and from its Toolbar select:
Tools > Options > File Types > Select All and click "Apply".

Jim - if you have Service Pack 1 or 1a installed there is a applet added to
the Add or Remove Programs item in Control Panel which allows you to choose
the default applications for certain tasks including media player.

Winamp itself may also try to retake the associations. But if you go into
the winamp settings, you can turn the associations for anything or
everything off. Then it definately won't try to take them over again.
