Hello,
I'm noticing that the root folder of my C drive is accumulating more and
more folders containing different versions of MRT.exe. These folders have
names like: fb6ae21614bb20d44e6b1de5

Question: Do I need them all or only the most recent? Can I delete the
oldest ones?

Thanks,
Jonathan

Actually, the most recent MRT.EXE file should be located in the
%SystemRoot%\System32 folder anyway. Therefore, it should be safe to
delete all the folders that you mentioned above. Since it is not usual
that these folders remain, you may want to consider to download and
execute that Update from here rather than installing via Microsoft
