Howdy,

I had MS Mail running for years in Outlook under Windows
2000.

I just re-installed Windows, and, of course, lost that
functionality.

I have a few questions about restoring it:

First, I have a file WMS.EXE which, IIRC, set up the
postoffice. My question is AIRC? (that is, Am I Recalling
Correctly<g>? I ask, because I have it in a folder labeled
Messaging, but with no other information.

If that is not the way to go, might you have suggestions? I
have read the Slipstick site with some care on this issue,
and see methods for adding MS Mail to OL2002, and 2003, but
not 2000. Would the 2002 method work for me?

Thanks for any assistance on this,

as long as you have outlook installed in workgroup mode (see help, about),
you should only need the two post office files - assuming you need to set
the post office up again. You can get them from
http://www.outlook-tips.net/howto/msmail_xp.htm#msmailxp if they aren't in
the exe you have. (I forget where they are anymore. :))

If you are in workgroup mode then add the ms mail service to the profile -
you shouldn't need to install anything to get it.
