Microsoft Mail message downloads

All email message attachments currently download in a Microsoft Works for
Windows format. I want them to download in a Microsoft Word for Windows
format. Works was installed in my HP computer when purchased. I
subsequently loaded Microsoft Office 2007. How do I change the message
download default in Microsoft Mail to Word?

Err you don't. The attachment format is decided by the SENDER......so your
senders must be sending you Works Documents....

Like DL said. Word can open Works documents if you have the compatibility
tools installed.
