Ok, this is my last resort. Usualyl I can fix these
things myself but this time. I can't, and I hate it. LOL
anyway. I made the MAJOR mistake of downloading Hotbar.
When I unuinstalled it it left some componets on my
computer. Those componets or whatever have been
interfering with my e-mail service (yahoo!). I tried to
delete the compnets that were left, but there's two that
will not go. they're .dll files. and the message says
they're being used by another program. But i've hust down
all my programs before to try and delete them, but they
won't go. Also, I found that when I right click on the
Explorer bar, and it pulls up the list of what Can be
shown on the task bar and stuff. The Horbar choice is
still there. When I uncheck it I don't have a problem
with my e-mail. So my question is. How can I get ride of
this Hotbar stuff? for good! Any suggestions I'll be open
too. And the sooner the better.

Thanks, Mary

Hi Mary,

You'll need to get a good "spyware" remover and clean
your machine. I've had good results with SpyBot; its
free and it was recommended by PC Magazine in January.
The home page is at http://www.Safer-Networking.org, and
you can download it from CNet.

Another good source for info is PCHell.com. They have
good write-ups about most of these hijacker programs,
with instructions on how to remove them manually.
