I have applied conditional formatting on a cell. If I copy & paste the
format to adjucent cell/s the cell reference does not change. How to solve
this problem?

Thanks in advance for any replies.

Copy and paste means just that...the values or formatting of
the original cell are copied to the new cell, including the
cell reference. OTOH, using the fill function to the right,
up, down or left involves relative cell references unless they
are locked by the "$" symbol for either/and row or column. Is
this what you are thinking?
