When starting Outlook (Office XP), I get a message that says "This program
has requested runtime to terminate in an unusual way, please contact the
application support team for more information." Outlook them closes and when
I restart it again, I get a mess age that says "the data file saved office
files was not closed properly", and then it goes through a 2 minute routine
to start Outlook. How do I fix this. This occurs on a brand new Dell
computer with a newly loaded Office XP, fully updated. My data was moved
over with Intellimover software.

did you try a detect and repair (Help menu) ?
