microsoft antispyware

every time i try to update the above program it seems to be working but when
i open the program it is still at the 31st december date caan anyone help

How are you trying to update?

Don't worry about it for a few days, I think. I've had a similar experience
tonight, and I think it'll probably settle down by the end of the week or
so. The update will be released so that it'll come in automatically, so
there's no need to all go for the download site immediately.
