my new vista loaded computer grabs all the message out of my DSL server inbox
and buries them in MS mail. I don't even have an account set up for MS mail
and the server email account says to leave a copy on the server, MS mail
overrides this and everything gets buried there. Help

There is no app called "MS Mail." Did you mean Windows Mail?
If so, open it, go to Tools, Accounts, and delete ('remove') all the mail
accounts. Also, Windows Mail can't do anything unless it is running.
Why do you have it running?

SORRY, it is windows mail and " I " don't have it running, it launched itself
and thanks for the tip.

Let us know if you need additional help. The potential problem I see
is that when you click on an email link on a web page, Vista will want
to launch the default email service, which probably is still Windows Mail
in your case. There are workarounds for some webmail service users
(Hotmail and Yahoo), but I don't know of a generic workaround that
will allow any ISP's webmail to be configured as Vista's default.

When does it launch itself, at startup or when you click an email link?
What email program do you prefer?
