Frank

I have installed Windows XP PRO on 2 computers and on both there is no way
that I get the microphone working.

Both computers have different audio/sound cards, checked controls many
times.

I had a look at Sound & Audio prop no result

I looked very carefully at Speech properties there is not much I can do with
voice select is Micr. Sam and further no adjustment

Installed a other mic nothing

Used the mic last week for making overseas phone call but had Windows 2k
running

Who can help me

Thanks in Advance

Open volume controls (right click on speaker icon), make sure microphone is
shown. Deselect mute and microphone should echo thru' speaker. That will
check microphone is indeed working. If microphone is not shown, use
options/properties to select it. Check volume levels etc.

Hi Frank,

When you open "Sounds and audio devices" in Control Panel and go to Audio or
Voice tab, is the correct sound card selected in Default device window? If
it is not listed in the dropdown list, you will have to install the drivers
from the CD that comes with your sound card.
If the correct sound card is selected, under Voice tab, press the Volume
button under Voice recording to open the Recording control window. If there
is an Advanced button under the microphone slider, press it to open the
Advanced Controls for Microphone and make sure that there is a check mark on
Microphone Boost.
