Off and on one window pops up asking to enable or disable macros. The file
is as follows:
program\microsoft\office\startup\dgnbase.dot.

I click disavle. I am afraid to delete the file fearing it will screw up
some program. I am also afraid of enabling the macros for virus eventhough I
have scanned thoroghly. What is this file for and should I enable the macros?

"dgnbase.dot" is an add-in added to the Office Startup folder by Dragon
Naturally Speaking. If you are not using DNS or if it is an older version
that doesn't work with the current version of Word, you could move the file
elsewhere. Alternatively, you could move it to Word's Startup folder, where
it will be "trusted" (provided you have "Trust all installed templates and
add-ins" checked on the Trusted Sources tab of Tools | Macro | Security).
