Micro ATX board?

Just saw some boards labeled Micro ATX - they look smaller than typical ATX
boards. Does the ATX label guarantee that they will fit into a standard ATX
case?

Thanks.

Jeff,

That's usually true. The mATX boards are shorter but most cases are punched
for shorter mATX as well as the ATX boards.

Thanks for the quick responses!

Most MICRO-ATX motherboards use the same hole placement design as ATX except
they have fewer holes. Assuming they are using the ATX Standard. Even goes
for MINI-ITX, except it would really be a waste of space.
