$Mft file problem - Harddrive disappeared

I got a message saying that the '$Mft' file would not save on my slave Hard
Drive. I took a look at the drive and none of the files appear anymore.
Only the root folders show. I rebooted and now the Hard Drive has
disappeared.

How do I fix this?

Unfortunately my pc doesn't even see the drive now. How do I get my pc to
see the drive?

When you say that the drive isn't being seen, do you mean in Windows or
in the BIOS? Is the drive seen in the BIOS? If it is, run a diagnostic
utility on it that you can get from the drive mftr.'s website. Usually
you will make a bootable floppy. Boot with it and run a thorough test.
If the drive has hardware errors, it is time to replace it.
