Can anyone tell me where I can get the 5.1.2600.1167
version of this file as described in article #813707? A
little absurd that they describe a problem and a fix, but
don't have the fix readily available. I have numerous
customers who are experiencing this error, and I'm tired
of directing them to Microsoft support when it should be
an easy fix, and it's our product that seems to be causing
the error (pc card). It sounds like a copout to my
customers.

Are you blind?! Can you not read?! It *TELLS* you in the article where to
obtain it! That is the only way - it's not available for download. If you
don't want to call MS, then you don't get. Tell them it's the only way.
 
Wow, actually I AM blind and I CANNOT read! How did you
get all that from one post? Impressive!
Thanks for your help, but I was kind of fishing to see if
maybe I could get the file from anyone else without having
to be charged $35. But I'm sure with your impressive
intuition you already guessed that.

Well you certainly didn't read the article, did you?! If you had done you
would have seen that it states something like

"If MS determines that a specific hotfix will solve the issue, all charges
normally levied will be waived."
