I am working in Word 2002. How reliable is the security in Tools, Options,
Security, Privacy Options, Remove personal information from this file on
save or warn before printing or saving or sending a file that contains
tracked changes or comments? Also, is there any warning for hidden text?

If a user has a macro that searches for any hidden text and comments, then
deletes them, is there any chance that another user receiving this file
electronically can see any of this data?

If so, is there a third party softward that you would recommend to ensure
security?

TIA,

Ricki

Thanks Shauna,

That was a great help,

Ricki

Hi Ricki

For information about what metadata is saved by Word 2002 see
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;290945

To be certain about stripping out metadata, you can use the Remove Hidden
Data tool available from Microsoft at
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?familyid=144E54ED-D43E-42CA-
BC7B-5446D34E5360&displaylang=en

Hope this helps.
