Can't seem to keep out a new and unwlecome intrusion.
Messeneger spam is coming in, even after I went into the
registry and turned OFF Windows Messenger.
I get ads for weight-loss, stop spam. . . all coming up
in pop-ups that have "Messenger Service" in the title
bar.
I'm running PC-Cillan's with securtiy set at maximum,
but the stuff just keeps getting in.
Each time the pop-up appears, I ctrl>alt>Del and go to
the process. It shows that the spammer is activating and using
CSRSS.EXE in my I386 folder.
Anyone know what I can do about this?

Many Thanks in Advance,
MP

Open Help and Support and search for "firewall". This will tell you how to
enable XP's built in firewall. If you have a valid reason not to use a
firewall, click Start, Run and enter SERVICES.MSC Locate the Messenger
entry and double click it. Set it to Stopped and Disabled.

However, the reason they can get to the Messenger Service (not to be
confused with Windows Messenger) in the first place, is that your internet
connection is not secure.
