Hello:
I use the messenger service in our network to be notified of certain
events that happen. It is especially usefull to have it notify me
when certain parts of our builds are completed.
The Messenger service appears to be running just fine -- nothing has
changed it's configuration or settings. However if I now do a 'net
send computername', 'net send username', or 'net send IPAddress' I
hear the beep on the computer but no window pops up with the message.
I've seen this before and the only thing that has happened recently is
that I changed my user-account's password on the domain. I did verify
that the service is starting as 'Local System' so this shouldn't have
been affected. Rebooting also doesn't fix anything.
Any ideas from anyone out there??
In advance, many thanks!
