I am looking for help to end the annoying "Messenger Service" ads that keep
popping up during games, etc... They have these Messenger Blockers which
cost lots for something that is so basic. Is there a manual way to block
these messages, or a free way? I mean, for a few lines of code, it is not
worth $25+ dollars to turn off, or block off, a few variables. And
considering the fact these very "Messenger Blocker" companies are the SAME
ones who sell the ad sending programs to the spamming companies, I don't
want to feed the double standard.

Thanks,
Palm Tropyx!

If you wish to solve your pop-up problems once and for
all, consider purchasing and installing a third-party program
designed to do just that:

Norton Internet Security 2003
http://www.symantec.com/sabu/nis/nis_pe/

-- Includes Norton AntiVirus 2003
-- Includes Norton Personal Firewall
-- Includes prevention of annoying web pop-ups
-- Includes Parental Controls
-- All in one, easy-to-install package

I use Zone Alarm for my firewall, and yet the Messenger Window still comes
up (usually through the same port as the game info. Sad, huh?

I also have Norton 2003 Suite. I am no fool when it comes to the security of
my system. Heck, I Ghost my drive once two weeks.

Sadly, those third party "stoppers" also contain spyware.. I simply hate
this constant run around of fix this but get this as well. It is like
solving your cold but giving yourself measels in the process.

Thanks,
Palm Tropyx!
