Messenger 8.1 & Vista

Hi all,
Since I installed Vista I have been unable to log into messenger 8.1, the
error I get tells me the following: 'Your hosts file contains MSN related
entries which may interfere with name resolution.'

I have tried to get Vista to repair it but it does not work. Any ideas?

Open up windows\system32\drivers\etc\hosts in Notepad (you'll need to give
admin privilages to write to it) and make sure there are no entries related
to WLM or any ad services it uses.

This is what it reads:
