My Outlook e-mail messages are coming in, but outgoing messages sit in "Out
Box" and won't leave. The following error messages are detailed. My SMTP is
configured: smpt.earthlink.net How do I fix this?

Task 'pop.earthlink.net - Sending and Receiving' reported error (0x80070279)
: 'The modem (or other connecting device) is already in use or is not
configured properly.'

Task 'mail.sherrieanderson.com - Sending and Receiving' reported error
(0x8004210B) : 'The operation timed out waiting for a response from the
sending (SMTP) server. If you continue to receive this message, contact your
server administrator or Internet service provider (ISP).'

Try changing...

smpt.earthlink.net

to

smtp.earthlink.net

If it's Outlook 2002 go to TOOLS, OPTIONS and MAIL SETUP, click the
