Messages on this server cannot be modified

I use Outlook 2003 to manage my Hotmail account. Recently I've been unable
to use the "Reply" command to respond to messages. I get an window that
states "Messages on this server cannot be modified".

Any suggestions?

Is this a free Hotmail account or one you pay for?
 
I pay an annual fee for the account. Until recently everything's been
working fine and no modifications have been made.

Since you pay MSN for the privilege, why not ask them to help?
 
MSN has been unable to help me with the problem so I would appreciate
assistance from another user that has experianced a similar problem.

That is not I, alas. I don't use MSN.
