I just got a new desktop, I am running Vista and Outlook 2007, the problem I
am having is that when I send an email with attachments it never leaves my
outbox and sends to the recipient an endless amount of times. Text only
messages send fine.

What is the size of the attachment? That could be the problem. Try
sending a smaller file and see what happens.

The last one I sent was 2MB but the one before that was 500kB and neither one
would go.

Usually caused by an antivirus package configured to scan mail. Uninstall
your AV program and reinstall it without the mail scanning feature.

I once had an email customer that was using their local cable company for
internet access. The company had a SMTP filter configured on customer
connections that blocked all outbound mail that was over a certain size
(something fairly small, like 20KB) if it was going to a server other than
their mail server. They could send an email, but not with an attachment.
If they dialed into their old provider they could send mail fine.

I'd suggest turning off any AV mail scanning first per Brian's suggestion as
this is often the cause of issues like this. If you do not get anywhere
with that however, you may try contacting your ISP--particularly if your ISP
is not your email provider.
