You've backed up your dbx files from OE right? Since Outlook can't directly
read dbx files you must first restore those dbx-files to Outlook Express. In
general this means that you'll have to copy back your dbx- files to a folder
your harddisk and remove the "Read Only" file attribute (rightclick the
file-> properties-> uncheck Read Only). Then in OE set the Store Folder
(Tools-> Options-> tab Maintenance) to the folder you copied your dbx-files
to.

Thanks Robert but could you elaborate on that a little
more. WHat do you mean by configure OE with your backups
and how do you remove the read only file attributes.
Thanks again.

Configure OE with your backups (copy them to your HD and remove the Read
Only file attribute). Then in OE choose File-> Export
and
follow on screen
instructions to export your messages to Outlook.

Can someone tell me how to take my email messages from
Outlook Express 6 using Windows 98SE to MS Outlook 2003
using XP Pro. I have the file copied on CD from Outlook
Express. I can't figure how to get them in MS Outlook or
if I can at all.
Thanks a bunch,
Mike
