Recently I have been receiving emails in Outlook 2003 which are being
deleted automatically as soon as they hit my inbox. I did have the filtering
set to do this, however the ones which were going were from contacts in my
contacts list, and the flag is set that these should never be deleted. I
have turned off all filtering, and even reinstalled and these are still
being deleted. I can't even send an email from myself to myself on the same
account.
It does not hit all emails as some spam is still getting through.
Anyone have any ideas please ?

Are you sure they are being deleted? or could they just
be appearing as if they are disappearing?

Could be your view is filtering your messages.

Do you have an AV (Anti-virus) program running on your
email?

I have the same problem, I believe. Out of the blue, all
my mail (for the most part) just goes to the deleted
items folder now, whether it's on the junk list or not.
Is this some type of a virus, or what?

Thanks,
Matt

This sounds more like a rule running. Check your
Rules Wizard.

Is it possible for the junk/adult listings to fill and
make everything get deleted? If I turn those rules off,
I can keep mail in my inbox. If I turn them on,
everything goes into the deleted items folder, whether
it's on the list or not. Like I said, this happened out
of the blue, but I do constantly add to my listings.

Is there some sort of error that once so many names hit
the list, everything gets deleted or something? For now,
I'll just turn the junk/adult sender rules off and
manually sort my mail.

Thanks,
Matt
