messager service - what is this

I notice that I am receiving occasional popup with the title of Messager
Service. Either the outside world knows my computer or I changed some
setting. Is there a way to stop these popups

thank you to all that replied. I have tightened up on my firewall. Time will
tell whether shields are fully up.
