message web view problem

Every time I open a new message to send it opens in web
view. I am using word as editor. I have set the view to
normal in word which works fine but not in outlook
Using xp and Office 2000.
Can't find an answer anywhere.
Anyone have any suggestions I could try?

Not sure how to do that.I did a search for that file and

when I opened the file it opened in web view. so how do I
change that to normal view so it opens that way all the
time?
I also tried repair of Office.

I found the file, opened it in Word (don't double click it, Mike - find it in Word after you know the location, open it, change it, then click save, not save as) but it didn't work, as I am having the same problem. I changed it to Normal view, saved it, then opened a new email in Outlook (with Word as the editor) and it still is web view.
