Whenever a window for a program freezes, and I close it
through ALT CTL DLT... a little window pops up asking me
whether I want to send an email to Microsoft about the
problem... how do I get rid of this little window, does
anyone know?
thanks! mark

Why?

You don't want Microsoft to be aware of the problem that you are
having?

You do not want to have your problem added to the priority lists for
problem investigation at Microsoft?

Turn this off: in Control Panel - System - Advanced, click Error
reporting in the Startup and Error Recovery section. There select
either Disabled, or leave it enabled with only the Operating System
section checked. (those reports are useful in helping build up a
picture of where trouble happen).

You can also usefully in Settings, uncheck 'automatically restart'.
and change the 'write debugging information' to (none) - problems may
then give a Blue screen failure of the program, but this is usually
enough indication of where trouble is arising, and allows you to
continue and close other programs down gracefully, even if you do then
decide to reboot.
