I tried to send a large file via Outlook, but it got stuck
in the process. Now Outlook won't allow me to open the
message, delete it, or move it. Everytime I try to do
something with it, I'm denied permission and it says the
message is being transmitted.

I've tried to restart Outlook, restart my PC, leave
outlook open for extended periods time, but the message is
still hung up. I can still use Outlook. I can send and
receive other messages, but I can't do anything with this
message.

How can I get ride of it without reinstalling Outlook?

here's the answer to how to fix your stuck or jammed outbox in office outlook 2003

Go to File....New....OUtlook data file...

Choose outlook 97-2002 personal file folder (.pst

Give the file a name, any name will do, I used "repair"

On the next screen, give the name of "repair" Leave everything else alone on this screen and press "OK

You should now see a new folder created under "All Mail folders"

Click on the folder called "repair". and press send/recieve button on top of the screen.

Close Microsoft Outlook.

Open Microsoft Outlook and go to your sent items folder where the large file with attachment is stuck, you should now be able to delete this message.

Next go tothe "repair" folder that you created, click on it once

The right mouse click and click on close "repair". Thats it your done. Now stop pulling your hair out

Cheers
