Message Rules

I seem to be having a problem with a simple rule and
wondered if you could help. I'm running Outlook 2002 and
my rule is simply the place any email from a given person
into a specific folder. I can achieve this no problem -
but the issue is that when it is placed into the target
folder it is marked as 'read'.

Any ideas how to move to a folder without it being marked
as 'read'. I've tried copying to a folder and then
deleting the original, but some of the time it's still
marked as 'read'.

Any ideas would be most gratefully received.

Right click on the preview pane and select "Reading Pane
Options"
uncheck the "Mark item as read when selection changes".
Works in 2003. Should work in 2002.

Hm... Mine don't get marked as read unless I specifically add the "mark it
as read" action.
 
Hmm... neither of these work. You cannot right-click on
the preview pane in 2002.

Any more ideas ?
