When I recall a message, all my recipients see the recall message. How can I
prevent this?
 
You can't - message recall is an all or nothing proposition, one reason to
pause before sending.

Post all replies to the group to keep the discussion intact. Due to
the (insert latest virus name here) virus, all mail sent to my personal
account will be deleted without reading.
