message Box when attempting to amend a protected document (Word)

I'd like to display a message box whenever someone tries to edit anywhere
within a protected document. I'm using the document protection as a warning
regarding changing of certain styles and bookmarks.

Without knowing the version of Word involved and the type of protection
activated, we can't even offer an opinion, much less a suggestion.
