If a person emails his worksheet to me which is set up the exact same way,
how do I go about merging it with mine? Please be specific since this is
new to me. (Excel2000)

Copy and Paste?

Sorry, can't be more specific without knowing more about the problem.

Actually, it's not a problem yet; I just need to know how to go about
merging someone's Excel worksheet with mine. They have the same headers and
are set up the same, just different names, addresses, etc. Can you help?

I did it with 'Paste Link' from files from 4 different counties. I opened
each county's file, selected the range I wanted, went to my 'Master' file ,
clicked on the cell where I wanted their data and used PasteSpecial|Paste
Link. Each month the counties email me their worksheet, I save it in the
same folder as my Master, I open the Master file and answer 'Yes' when
prompted to update links. Admittedly, the data is limited to range of cells
in a single column, but it may work for a larger range.

Thanks so much for your kind reply.
