Merge/import email addresses from an excel spreadsheet

Is there a way to merge/import email addressed listed within an excel
spreadsheet into Outlook. I have a list of 438 people that I need to
notifity with their new employee number and I wanted to do this indvidually.
I was hoping I could create a genric email with their new number merged
within the email from the excel spreadsheet and then have an indivdual email
created for each employee.

Possible?
