How can one change options in the menu that appeares when one switches on a
camera to the computer with Windows xp sp2 through the USB connection?

Do you mean the Auto-Play window that gives you choices to open with
Photoshop, Windows Explorer, Paintshop, Music...etc.
What about it and what you want to achieve, make Enable or Disable?.
