Menu drawing is bonkers

hey, all of the sudden all my menus are drawing oddly. the outline is drawn
but the menu items themselves aren't drawn until i move my mouse over them.
this is a pain, obviously. anyhoo i've tried restarting, switching to
windows classic and back, and messing with other menu settings, to no
avail... it pains me !

Are there newer video drivers available for your graphics card? Try
those and see if it helps.
